To maintain the efficiency of the service, LinkPro.org utilizes a give-and-take strategy by which users give links in return for the ones they receive. The result is an active and lively community of webmasters looking to exchange quality links. LinkPro.org updates its database regularly, thereby only providing its users with relevant, up-to-date links. Why should I exchange links with other sites? Link exchange is a proven method of increasing traffic and search engine rankings for your website. Used by professional SEO companies for many years, links are regarded as the most effective method to manipulate web traffic and send it your way. Since search engines use a technique known as Spidering to follow the links placed on a site to their original website and then index that site, the benefit of having links to your website on other sites is immeasurable. It is one of the easiest and most effective ways to "pop up" on the search engine radars. Moreover, with more quality links between your website and other sites of similar content search engines are likely to peg your site as informative, relevant and a good source of information, thus boosting your ranking. With its tailored linking (links are provided according to compatibility with the content of your site) and a quality database, LinkPro.org can be the extra push your site needs to score higher on search engine placement. Does my site require any specific scripts to use LinkPro.org? At this time, LinkPro.org can only accept links to sites that are PHP or ASP operated. How can I know if my site supports PHP or ASP? There are several ways to check whether your site is PHP or ASP enabled: 1. In most cases once you enter the LinkPro.org code into your website and upload to your server, you will see a LinkPro image logo on the page on which you placed the LinkPro code. This may be an indication that PHP and/or ASP is active on your site. 2. At times you will see the LinkPro PHP logo, but your site will still not be able to access PHP and/or ASP. This could be because your site runs on a .html script that is not PHP and/or ASP enabled. All you have to do then is simply enable .html to run on your PHP script. How do I enable PHP to run on my HTML scripted site? Assuming that your server host does support PHP but you cannot access it because your site name ends with .html rather than .php, there is a simple way to fix this allowing your HTML page to execute PHP. To allow your HTML pages to execute PHP, simply modify your .htaccess file by adding the line AddType application/x-httpd-php .html to a page name that ends with .html, or the line AddType application/x-httpd-php .htm if your page name ends with .htm Note that the location of your .htaccess file varies depending on your FTP program and may be hard to find. If you are having trouble locating your .htaccess file, it is best to ask your hosting service for help. How do I know that LinkPro.org's database is relevant and up to date?
